Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Pours an almost clear amber with an off-white head with some lacings. Sweet and quite bitter. Sugary floral aromas. Also aromas of cereals and hay. Long and very bitter finish. A bit too sweet.

Cask @ Volo fest ’06. Cloudy copper body. Nose is hoppy with notes of chocolate, grassy, fruity. Flavor is orange, lemon, pineapple, juicy fruits. Some slight bubblegum. Great bitter fruity orange finish.

Bottle from WeeHeavySD - thanks Jon! Very light and clean pale to my taste, not the red, bready malted brew I expected based on reviews. Slightly cloudy pour, filled with aromatic hops on the nose. Clean, almost papery mouthfeel with nice substantial body and a dry, grassy finish. Nothing I’d go out of my way for, given how many IPAs are available in general, but certainly quite a solid, enjoyable brew.

12 ounce bottle from the Festivous Guy. Pours clear amber with a stiff, resinous, off white head. Pretty niee pine and grapefruit aroma, but it was really hard to find after a couple of minutes. Flavors of bicuity malts with and earthy hop flavor and sharp bitterness. Medium body. Oily mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Bitter, dry finish. Pretty average.

Tasted 4/6/09. 12oz bottle. Filtered with an amber hue. Lacing bone white head. Bright aromas with notes of citrus and oranges. Touch mutes body with low effervescence. Big and piney earthy hops. Mildly sticky, but totally doughy. Mild rye, but still in a bready sence. Decent, but well below average.

341 ml bottle. Shared with my neighbour Kjetil. Hazy copper color, nice off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, but not a bomb. Flavor is hoppy, with sweet malt and a salty bitterness. Nice, but not a hopbomb.

Bottle. EPA-ish aroma: light crystal malt and perhaps some lime-y hops. The flavor has grapefruit nuances but this is primarily a malty IPA.
