Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Thanks to robinvboyer for this brew. Pours a copper color with a decent white head. The aroma is really nice; some floral and citrus hops, and there is also a really sweet aspect. The taste is similar; some bitter hops, but more citrus and sweet flavors. Really nice, not overly bitter or sweet, a perfect mix. Fairly dry and a smooth caramel flavor also. Very good.

Golden color with a light citrusy hop aroma. Flavor gas some mild citric "C" hops with some bready-sweet malts. Medium mouthfeel. OK, but not really impressive.

Bottle from Hogtownharry, thanks a lot Harry! Bottle decants into the glass, a deep hazed amber with orange hues. Head is a creamy froth of beige and leaves nice lace. The nose is dominated by floral hops ,and has solid doses of citrus (mostly grapefruit), dark bread, caramel malts, wet wood and dank forest air. Quite interesting. This IPA shows citric floral hops as the main flavour contender, with bready, malty goodness leading to sweet caramel and toffee. There is a lingering spice that I also quite like. Finish is hoppy, bitter and pleasant. I wish I could get this all the time. Thanks so much for the bottle Harry!

(Bottle) Pours dark amber red with a small of white head. The aroma is medium hoppy with tones of citrus – mostly grapefruit and orange, floral/mild pine and apricots. Medium malty with buttery caramel up front. Subtle fruity undertones of starfruit, tangerine, woody pineapple and wild strawberries. The flavour is medium hoppy with citric (orange peel and grapefruit) and floral tones as the most notable. Light fruity and light to medium malty with some toastiness and caramel. The finish is very dry. The mouthfeel quite soft and smooth. Light sweet and medium bitter with some resiny notes. Medium bodied.

Bottle shared at Butter’s Big Cellar Blowout. Hazy reddish amber pour with wispy white head. Sweet malty nose with a little spiciness. Flavor has hop bitterness on the finish, but malty overall. Not really what I would call an IPA. But okay i suppose. Too expensive for what it is though...

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a 2 finger tan head and delicate lacing. Nose is toasted malts and citrus. Taste is more toasted malt, pine, and grapefruit. Medium mouth feel. Tastes a bit different than its American counterpart, but still enjoyable. A nice, clean finishing IPA.

Pours a murky orage with a small off white lace. Smells like an aged barleywine. Hard to find the hops in the flavor too. Would like to try a fresh bottle or better yet have this on tap to rerate.

Bottle. Pours a murky orange with a very small head and massive pine and resin aromas with a little pineapple and brown sugar. Flavor is a little too brown sugary sweet and finished with crisp conifer forest and alcohol notes.
