Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a one finger lasting off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is loaded with floral and citrus hops with a hint of sweet malt and caramel. Taste is the same as aroma just not as prominent. Medium mouthfeel with a moderate amount of bitterness. Very good.

12oz bottle. Clear deep orange with a medium head. Aroma of pine and floral hops with plenty of caramel malt.Taste was sweet caramel and perfume with an intensely bitter finish. A standard American IPA, but nothing here to justify the $5 pricetag.

Flaske. Mørk orange øl, med et fint skumhoved. Ikke helt frisk men selvom den havde været frisk er humlen ikke helt i balance. Ikke en af de bedre IPA men bestemt drikbar.

Bottle, courtesy blankboy. Pours a murky caramel color, with a very nice, marshmallow-like white head. Prominent lacing retention and lacing. Very floral hop aroma, with citrus, grapefruit, plum, cinnamon, and other spices. Nice. Has a very malty body, which is balanced superbly with an exciting hop profile that finishes each sip. Spicy mouthfeel. Very refreshing to drink. Tastes like a very balanced IPA but feels like an easy, crisp refreshing lawnmower beer, which is awesome.

Aroma of pine, hops, and citrus. Caramel color; thick with a slightly off-white head. Flavor of grapefruit, caramel, hops and a bit of pine. Smooth, refined and very enjoyable. Good lacing. Flavorful, but not overpowering.

6-24-08 bottle thanks to BlackForestCO (thanks Jakey!)
Thick brown with a nice creamy beige head and light watery lacing. Smell is fruity and hoppy and grassy with perhaps some rye or orange rind notes in there. Some caramel shows up in the finish. Nice palate. Overall, quite drinkable.

Hazy amber, small lacing head. Caramel malty, mildly piney nose. Flavor is caramel malts, flowery & a bit piney hops. Very easy, it’s missing that last bite. Medium bodied, smooth palate. Drinkable, but somewhat dull.

12oz bottle from Belmont Station in Portland. Pours a deep amber with a moderate sized amber head. Very grassy aroma with a decided hint of apple as well. Nice apple and pine hop taste as well with a decidedly bitter and spicy finish. Quite enjoyable, now I need to pick up a Peche Mortel.
