Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

A very grapefruit bouquet with other citrus aromas. Quite pungent with some floral and pine notes. Strong floral and pine notes, with a smooth sipping malt body. Good IPA without an overpowering hop character, but instead a great fruity compliment.

Pours the deepest amber into the glass, with an offwhite head that reduces to a thin cap, leaving light soapy lace. The nose is a direct cross between caramel and pine resin. Citric flavors of orange, lime and grapefruit cut through a sweet malt base, only to be counterbalanced by an assertive pine hop. The finish is nicely bitter, with just a hint of sweetness and citrus leftover. The mouthfeel is complex, yet with a biscuit-dry texture. The palate is almost silky - the complexities of the brew do not overbalance the quaff. Nice and hoppy, but well-balanced on the malt side, this is a very drinkable brew that is complex enough to enjoy real substance.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a dense off white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, caramel, other citrus notes. Flavor is again grapefruti, orange, caramel. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished bitter. Good, but not great stuff!

Pours a hazy amber colour with a large tight off white head. Aroma is floral and citrus hop. Caramel tones underneath. Flavour is hoppy medium bitterness. A caramel and molasses malt depth through the middle palate and a slightly dry bitter finish.

Another good beer shared by the infamous Roberto! Real bitter for an IPA, grassy that is for sure. Bottle poured a hazy amber. Classic IPA smell and taste. As I said it was grassy bitter. Medium texture, another good brew by Dieu du Ciel! Thanks to robert for sharing!

from the bottle. poured a cloudy amber with a small tan head. aroma sweet, mango, pineapple. malt , doesn’t smell like a ipa more on the line of a barleywine with out the big alcohol hit. had to wait for it to warm to get any hops. flavor, bitter hops, brown sugar, the fruits in the aroma. I don’t know if my palate is off , this just does not taste like a ipa to me, of course I am comparing to two hearted. That said this is a very good nad drinkable beer. the price #.99 for the bottle will limit me to just a few of these

Definitely not their best. Now this may be an old bottle, but there is almost no hop in this, and it tastes much more like a lite Barleywine. Pours a hazy amber with 3 mm of beige head. Aroma is caramel. Flavor is bitter, with notes of sweetness in there. DDC does much better with Belgian styles.

This isn’t bad but not what I expected from the other beers that I’ve had from this brewery. With aggresive pouring I got a smallish off white head and some lace. Color is a hazy brownish medium amber. Aroma is malty, hoppy, and a little caramel/toffee. Flavor is similar but with some heavy yeast. Decent body and great carbonation. Finish is ok, a little bittersweet, not to special. Guess it could be a session, but it’s not a first or second choice for me.
