Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Pours a brownish amber with a fantastic thick, stiff head and lacing that lasts forever. Beautiful hoppy, sweet aroma - very fresh and inviting. Tastes fantastic - malting is very caramelicious, perfectly balanced by assertive, gently citrusy hops - notes of orange, spice, and a nice dry finish. I can’t believe it’s almost gone! Creamy body but a bit under-carbonated. Very very nice, and packs a real punch. Thanks to Robinvboyer and Nick for the bottle!

Bottle at Butters Big Cellar Blowout. Pours an off-white head with a copper amber body. Smells of aged spice and pine hops. Flavors of spice hops, little citrus hops, and honey-caramel. Finish is sweet and bitter. Mellow hops for what it could have been...I believe the bottle has some age.

Bottle: Orange with a lot of lace. Aroma is really citric and cedar wood. Very earthy with an almost sour bitterness that finishes sharply....mouth puckering.

Smells like an IPA, looks like an IPA, but tasted like a metalic regular pale ale. Very disapointing as this beer smells beautiful with piney hops, citrus and caramel. Nice dark copper color with off white head. The taste unfortunatly dpes not match the aroma. It tastes like an IPA but hops are just missing.

Bottle. Stong hops, grains and soil aroma. Dark amber colour with huge beige head. Bitter hops flavour although with fine notes of oats, raisins and nuts which adds to the dry aftertaste.

at DdC on draft, and as a bonus they had the standard draught version as well as a hand pumped cask conditioned version. both poured an amber reddish color with a thin white lacing. aroma was thick with floral hops. the taste of the kegged version was very smooth with a nice crisp mouthfeel, and hints of both malts and caramel on the tail end, balancing out the beer exceptionally well, and was possibly my favorite IPA to date. the cask version had a little more body, but got a little bit too bitter for my personal liking, almost creating a pucker factor. I actually preferred the keg version, but my scores scores are more of a combination of both evaluations

Bottle shared by mmtmatrix. A pretty nice surprise. Poured a nice copper color with a moderate off-white head that left some lacing. Aroma of flowery, earthy hops with some light citrus undertones. Moderate bitter, earthy entry leads into an earthy, flowery hop hit with some light citrus on the finish. Full on the palate with a nice bitter dryness. Nice.
