Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Tons of West coast hops results in a perfectly summery, grapefruity aroma. Small rocky head with a smooth body. Amazing balance of sweetness and hoppiness. Body could use a bit more solidity but overall, a beautiful beverage.

Pour is copper with small head. Aroma of grainy malts, grass and earth. Tastes ok...slightly astringent. Pretty heavy malt. Decent, but nothing to try again unless I see it at the brewery.

341mL bottle from the LCBO, that would not have been at my LCBO if I hadn’t ordered them, you’re welcome KW as this is all we’re going to see of the DDC stuff. Just saying. Pours a nice darker goldish amber with a large rocky white head. The aroma smacks of American style IPA-ness, great grapefruity piney hops with some nice caramalt underneath. Flavour has a great hop bite upfront met with some good malty sweetness and then a hoppy flavoured finish and aftertaste without the same initial bitter bite. The body has a nice thicker feel to it but is still light and only has a trace of the ABV. Earthy aftertaste. Lingering flavour of awesomeness (sometimes refered to as hops). Probably the closest thing I’ve had from a Canadian brewer to a true West Coast styled IPA. Super solid beer.

Courtesy beerlando. This one poured a amberish orange color with a medium foamy white head that settles quickly. The aroma is of earthy hops, bread, and some caramel malts. The flavor shows sweet citrus fruit of the orange and grapefruit variety to go with some caramel malt. Citrus hops add bitterness in the background, but not overpowering. Medium bodied with a nice sweet flavor and a slight bitter finish. A nice different take on the style.

Rich citrus hops aroma with baked bread, cream and candied fruits. Thick pillowy head, light orange cream color with deep brownish orange colored body. Rich hops flavor balanced with apple cider, dried fruits, bread crust, and some brown sugar. Palate is light but good, rich lasting duration. Good flavors throughout.

341ml - Dark orange liquid under thin tan head. Hoppy citrus nose, nice lace, good carbonation. Watery mouthfeel, lively flavors. No real backbone of flavors.

Cloudy amber and a thin white head. Smells like pine. belgian yeast. Thin butter like feel. I think the bottle might have some age because it seems toned down. Very smooth with a roasty finish.
