Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

on tap at volo cask days 2008. beautifully orange with a tight white head. big hop aromas with noticable caramel malt background. the malts take the lead in the flavours but the hops are there in plenty. the bitterness on the finish is nice but its held in check by the big maltiness. a nice IPA that i which i could get locally.

11.5 oz. bottle served in a Duvel tulip. Bottle conditioned. Poured a hazy dark copper with a finger of off white head. Plenty of carbonation. Citrusy hop aroma, plenty of malt. Slight oxidation, but in a good way. Some fruity aromas from yeast. Big malt body, then more of the citrusy hops. There is a fair amount of bitterness here. Drying finish from the hops with more of that citrus. This beer comes on a lot bigger than 6.5%. I really enjoyed this one, interesting.

Really enjoyed this one, eh!!! The beer was a beautiful burnt orange with an off-white head. The foam wasn’t as tightly packed as I would have liked. Aroma is floral, with grapefruit and bright citrus. Flavor is sharp but balanced...nice touch of honey to add that needed sweetness. Better than expected!!!

Pours a rusty amber with a small head. Floral nose. Very hoppy bitter flavor with notes of caramel and pepper. Dry, bitter hop finish.

Reddish brown with a white head. Great floral and citrus fruits aroma. Smouth palate with a caramelic final. One of the top IPA.

Bottle. Pours a rich "IPA amber" with a thick off-white head and superior lacing. This is a very graceful and delicate IPA that still has the muscle and the IBUs where it counts. Rich and powerful on the nose, spruce, juniper, resin, grapefruit, and floral aspects of the hops are all represented, along with the barest hint of the malt beneath. Flavour is rich and expressive, and feels very lifted in the mouth, spicy, righ, and piney, with many layers of hops. An excellent IPA.
