Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Bottle. Rich head on rich dark orange colour. Strong hop and malt nose. Citrus orange then woody hops. No noticeable alcohol. Like some of the woody hop bomb beers brought down to a drinkable session level. A trifle thin but big hops.

Aroma of malty, piney. Pours a cloudy orange, nice head. Caramel malty backbone. Floral notes, burnt fruit, hoppy but not overpowering. Just general all-around tastiness. You try to put your finger on what you like about it, but your glass is empty and you’re already pouring another one.

Bottled. Thanks to Anders Holmskär. Deep amber colour. Great hoppy aroma from tea, along with a bit of woody notes. Superb hop flavour with good bitterness and a bit of caramel. Woody, big, longlasting hop bitterness. Medium bodied.

bottle. Pours deep amber with a medium sized off-white head. Fragrant grapefruity hop aroma with some caramel malt in the background. Nice citric hop flavor with some pine needles, caramel, toffee and honey notes. Long, resinous hop finish. Very enjoyable; well crafted and not too over-the-top.

This dark amber ale poured with a thick fluffy beige head and a toffe aroma. There is a rich caramel malt flavor with a powerful hop finish that leaves pine on the palate. This is a very tasty brew.

Thanks to josarah for this beer. Pours a bright copper color with small head. Great nose os crisp, fresh hops...more grassy than citrusy, with some peach and apricot aromas. Good biscuit notes in the malt. Crisp, refreshing mouthfeel with good carbonation. Flavor is piney hops flavors with citrus, hibiscus and light caramel malts. Bitter finish is very pleasing. Very nice beer!

12 oz bottle. Pours a lightly hazy ruby/orange/amber with a large foamy/bubbly off white head that left a bunch of sticky lacing. Aroma of caramel, light citrus, pine, some tropical fruits noted, kind of reminded me of Stone 10th in terms of aroma. Flavor of caramel, toffee, lots of hops, some nuts, pine, floral notes a little earthy along with a bunch of citrus notes. Boy those are some hoppy burps!

BNottle poured a hazy copper with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, pine, orange peel and a hint of grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, earthjiness, light pine and light orange peel with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.
