Earthy caramel, cocoa, and fruit aroma. Taste is similarly sweet but with more grain and toasted nut. Slightly bitter ending has some citrus and resin that leaves a dried wood taste on the finish. Medium body is mostly smooth and finishes dry. Very nice, but just too damn expensive in down-South retail stores ($4.50/single). philippem (53), Montréal, Quebec, Canada

Refreshing and comforting; with a powerful (but marvellous) bitterness in mouth. Lots of (resinous) hops (I smell and taste Cascade ! Am I right ?). Lovely hazy reddish and/or orange dress. Extremely well-balanced. The more I try it, the more I fall in love with this beer. It might be their best beer of all (I know, It’s hard to choose!)
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 6, 2008 Beautiful amber hue with a long-lasting head. Cakey, yeasty, earthy nose was very inviting. Gave it another point for its sticky, foamy lace. Nice texture; not too heavy. Malts were complex and well rounded. Aromas of fruit (pear and apple) really gave it some depth. Balanced bitterness, along with some hop aromas, brought it all together. Overall, I really enjoyed this beer. It was bold yet pleasant. Glouglouburp (2865), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

How: Bottle and tap many many times
The look: Clear glowing copper body with a large creamy beige head.
In long: This one is mainly about the hops. Very resinous, pine-tree, floral elements, some orange peels. The beer has very little apparent sweetness but does not feel unbalanced at all. The body is full and very malty, just not very sweet to the tongue. Tropical fruits and earthy tree barks complete the flavour spectrum. Strong resinous bitterness. Thick oily body. One of my favourite below 7% hop-fix. Very tasty. My love for this beer is like pi - natural, irrational, and very important. Miguel (1181), Saint-Ours, Quebec, Canada

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 6, 2008 12 oz bottle, via puzzl. Pours a deep copper body with a slight yeast haze under a sturdy tight bubbled beige head that had excellent retention. Nice crisp citrusy and slightly piney hoppiness over a toasted caramel malt body. Very well balanced in the aroma, a nice light nuance of yeast. Big bitterness up front dominates and grabs your attention quickly, but it fades nicely as you reach the finish, showing off it’s big malt backbone with just a subtle lingering bitterness. This is really a showcase for the dry hopping technique, so bright and hoppy, but not harsh in the slightest. Mouthfeel is medium to full bodied for the style with a great creamy texture and perfect soft bottle conditioned carbonation. Wow, this was just a fantastic beer! Blom (496), Odense, Denmark
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Aug 15, 2008 Hazy orange-red with a dense and beautiful head that continues into lacings. The aroma is wonderful, full of pine and orange - like a Swedish wood in spring time. And the flavours do not dissapoint either, being nicely hopped with notes of grape and a bit of metal. All of this is perfected by a soft palate, almost like whipped cream. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 10, 2008 Pours a brownish amber with a fantastic thick, stiff head and lacing that lasts forever. Beautiful hoppy, sweet aroma - very fresh and inviting. Tastes fantastic - malting is very caramelicious, perfectly balanced by assertive, gently citrusy hops - notes of orange, spice, and a nice dry finish. I can’t believe it’s almost gone! Creamy body but a bit under-carbonated. Very very nice, and packs a real punch. Thanks to Robinvboyer and Nick for the bottle!
