Pours a murky brown/gold with moderate, slightly off-white head. Assertive hoppy nose (citrus and pine) with nice caramel malt backing for sweetness. Malt profile readily apparent in flavour leading to fruity hops. Medium+ body, fine carbonation, bitter finish, sticky mouthfeel. Quite nice. JulienHuxley (240), Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada

This is my favorite of all three quite like the dogfish 60 minute I’ve tried. Soapy aroma, malts, citrus and extreme hops. Taste is so bitter its peppery, sharp bitterness fits like a glove. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2008 Bottle at Volo. Pours dark amber with a large, long lasting head. There is grapefruit in the aroma, some toffee, grass. This is nicely balanced between the caramel in the malt and piney hops with and a bit of citrus. The hops are not overwhelming, maybe a gesture to European style IPAs. Beardface (1036), Eugene, Oregon, USA

Pours a deep amber with a moderate sized amber head. Very grassy aroma with a decided hint of apple as well. Nice apple and pine hop taste as well with a decidedly bitter and spicy finish. Quite enjoyable, now I need to pick up a Peche Mortel. Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly lasting.
Body is dark amber.
Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain, cookie, caramel), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit, apricot), with notes of dried mango and wood.
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic.
Nice rendition, with a more varied aroma than most American versions. Enjoyable quaffer.
