Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

(CASK) A very day anber color, slightly hazy with a dense longlasting light brown head. The aroma of hops jumps right out. Nice and floral. The taste is very well balanced between malt and hops with a nice bit of hops in the after taste

Beautiful, almost floral hop nose. Pours a copper/amber with a decent head. Lots of great grapefruit and pine in the profile but also something complex and lingering that I can’t put my finger on. Lasts a good long while on the tongue. Probably one of my favorite Canadian attempts at a U.S. style IPA.

Dark bronze color. Woodsy hop aroma, with hints of pine and spruce. Flavor is very woodsy, maybe some Centennial or Chinook, some lemon. Pretty pure & raw and quite nice and impressive.

On cask at the brewpub. Pours a slightly cloudy dark orange-copper with a large lasting bubbly off-white head -- looks fantastic! The aroma is all hops baby! A gorgeous mix of citrus and earthy hops -- so fresh and juicy smelling. The flavour is pure liquified hops but somehow it’s in no way too hoppy, it’s just right for this hophead. It goes down incredibly easy and has a huge dry and very bitter aftertaste. Great body for a cask. This is, to put it simply, a fantastic cask IPA!

Reddish amber, with a nice thick head. It was white and fluffy like powdered snow. The poster boy for a CAMRA campaign!
Big, fresh hop aroma, like rubbing hop plugs between your fingers. Amazing how the cask can bring out that hop bouquet, most probably cascade and fuggle, with a hint of vanilla flowers, like walking into a florist boutique that moonlights as a homebrew supply store.
In the mouth, blooming buds and freshly cut herbs, gooey honey like malt, mandarin oranges, great astringent mouthfeel and hops, hops, hops. This beauty was made for cask, propulsing it with CO2 would sharpen the alpha acids too much. I remember having this Beer once or twice before without being too impressed, but this time it just floored me. Cheers to JF for brewing another winner, worthy to be called an American IPA.

Bottle, pours slightly hazy and amber with a beautiful, off-white two fingers large, creamy, mostly lasting head. Good lacing. Flowerish hoppy nose with caramel and citrus. Flavour of hops, caramel, light malt and grape. Medium bodied. Lovely bitter finish. Well balanced. A very enjoyable IPA.

Pours deep amber into an English pint. Fluffy mocha head with excellent retention does not recede. Sweet pine and resin aromas. Dark caramel upfront with a sticky middle and a lasting resin finish. Full bodied and delicious.
