Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

12oz. Hazy amber beer with a dense head. Intense resiny pine aroma, fresh smelling and almost minty. Great tropical fruitiness. Nice round flavor. Very drinkable. More notes to come....

Pours a dark reddish brown with big carbonation bubbles and a medium off-white froth on top. Sweet waxy malt, honey, and very fresh grapefruit hop aroma. First taste is honey, grapefruit and a little bit salty. Finishes with quite a bit of dark caramel malt, honey and pine. A very rich bold malt. Trademark Dieu du Ciel spiciness. Medium light bodied, lots of smoother carbonation. [anything garlic pairs well with this]

341 mL bottle. Copper brown with citrus, pine, caramel, and toast in the nose. The flavour is aggressive, but well balanced, with grapefruit and pine balanced by caramel malt. The finish is bitter and lingering. Decent body and appropriate carbonation. A solid IPA.

On tap at the brewpub - came a dark reddish-brown with a very nice off-white head. Much darker than many IPAs I’ve seen. Huge citrusy, piney, grapefruit hop aroma, really PacNW styled. Flavour is delicious - hops, hops, hops, but also (as the darker colour would indicate) a good deal of malt in this one too, giving all those hops a straight and firm canvas upon which to paint their glorious pictures. Some more fir-tree presence in the flavour as well. Wonderful, wonderful beer.

Compliments of my friends DrBayern (Thanks Matt!!!!), expensive 11.5 oz beer, poured nicely a medium dark and hazy coppery malt. Aroma of hops, malts, and grapefruit. Flavour is both full bodied and bold beer. An excellent American version of IPA, I must admit. Sorry, most canadian beer to me is pussy beer, except for a few. This is a superb and wonderful ale from our friends in Canada. I would love to try it on tap. Awesome beer!

Pours a cloudy, very dark amber/ chestnut brown color with a HUGE foamy tan head that settles into a lacing that lasts throughout. Malty aroma with a floral hop presence. Very well-balanced with a nice malt bacbone countering the bitter hops. Very hoppy up-front with some chocolate, carmel maltiness and a dry, bitter hop finis

bottle. pours a deep copper/red color with a solid white fluffy head. some hop and piney aromas... wish it had a bit more on the nose. I almost feel this could be a IIPA, but it needs more aroma. Huge hop presence on the palate and through the finish.... nice and soft over the tongue with a good amount of carbonation. the deep caramel and malts come through as well as the beer warms. a very nice American style IPA from Canada...

Thanks MartinT! Deep hazy amber-orange body with a delicious tan lacing head. Fruity aroma with peach, citruses, the volatile oils of orange peel and of course: strong, fine resiny hop perfume. Some caramel and yeast in the nose too. Fine hops in the flavor(strong but not overpowered), fine malt and fruits, citruses and orangepeel feeling. Fine and strong bitter finish, but not an agressive, soon a well balanced aftertaste.
