msante79 (282), Illinois, USA May 30, 2008 Smells like an IPA, looks like an IPA, but tasted like a metalic regular pale ale. Very disapointing as this beer smells beautiful with piney hops, citrus and caramel. Nice dark copper color with off white head. The taste unfortunatly dpes not match the aroma. It tastes like an IPA but hops are just missing.
BuckeyeSammy (385), New York City, New York, USA Oct 13, 2008 A little expensive at 5.50 for a 12oz. Floral hops, sweet notes throughout. Nice carbonation, crisp. A lot of fruity notes. Tangy hops, long lasting mild bitterness. Really great IPA. baggio (61), stockholm, Sweden Oct 13, 2008 Bottle@home,
Apperance: Hazy orange with a white-yellowish lace.
Aroma: Citric notes, Fruit, Caramel, Flowers (hops).
Flavor: Grass, Citric notes, Caramel, Wood?, Exotic fruit (mango?).
Palate: Nice light body with some acidity and a long lasting bitterness at the end. Plenty of carbonation too.
A nice, balanced, IPA from Dieu Du Ciel. Wish i could get hold of more of these! Recommended! LilBeerDoctor (643), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a murky light brown with a huge, thick foamy tan head that subsides fairly quickly. Aroma of rich caramel malt, bitter hops, light citrus, and coffee grounds. Flavor of sweet caramel malt, iced tea, and slightly hoppy finish. Nice malty IPA. fredandboboflo (635), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bottle. Aroma of earthy malt with nearly-burnt bread, coffee, toffee, dried fig. Tropical fruits poke through from time to time. Flavor a complex blend of bitter notes (grapefruit, pine) with distinctly sweet notes (passion fruit and other sweet fruits) along with that rich, earthy malt that dominates the nose for me. Very nice brew. Defreni (519), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 12, 2008 Flaske. Mørk orange øl, med et fint skumhoved. Ikke helt frisk men selvom den havde været frisk er humlen ikke helt i balance. Ikke en af de bedre IPA men bestemt drikbar.
