bedainedebiere (274), Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada Sep 13, 2009 Tap at brewpub. Golden malty body, the rye side does not stand out so obviously as a peppery side in the hops takes quite a lot of place. Lemony and floral notes. Long aftertaste. Good stuff, again. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Sep 5, 2009 Nice ber pour with a good amount of sticky frothy head. Great aroma of citrus hops with some piney notes and some rye. Flavor is more of the same, and finishes with a nice citrus hop punch. A really nice APA. jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Apr 18, 2009 Deep copper and brown coloured body with a nice dense tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, bitter malt and some floral scents. Medium-bodied; Strong hop flavour at first, then fades to light malt and nuts. Aftertaste clean, but showing some floral and hoppy characteristics - nice. Overall, nice - light and mild, but showing some odd and complex tastes. If you only have one here - try something else, but this isn’t horrible! I sampled this pint on draught at the brewpub in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 09-April-2009. ogglethorp (882), Ohio, USA Feb 13, 2009 On tap. Pours copper in color with a smallish off white head. Aroma is light malts, grapefruit. Flavor is grapefruit, grains, caramel, floral. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished bitter. Solid. elihapa (1028), Honolulu, California, USA Nov 29, 2008 On tap, DDC. I have been meaning to try this beer for months, but never got around to it. Pours dark orange, with ruby-red tinges. Aroma is of light floral hops, and a bit of balancing sweetness. Having known this was a rye beer, I expected a strong spiciness in the flavors. However, what I found was a well-hopped, crisp pale ale, with a tad sharp of a finish (the rye?). I found myself loving this brew as a session beer, with very desirable traits of citrus, esters, and subdued sweet fruit. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Aug 23, 2008 (Bottle) Sampled at the Brewpub. Pours a thin, white dissipated frothy head atop a deep copper body. Nose of smoked pale ale. Backgound of coffee grounds, pleasant caramel and tart hops backing. Okay beer. Very fresh and refreshing. oteyj (713), Canterbury, New Hampshire, USA Aug 3, 2008 On tap at Dieu Du Ciel. Brown pour- quite dark for the style. Aroma is caramel malt, some citrus and rye. Flavor is bursting with caramel, and subtle hints of rye, balanced nicely with a robust hop content. Palate is smooth and full. craftycarl21 (510), South Hero, Vermont, USA Aug 3, 2008 Pours a reddish brown with small head. Aroma holds malt, rye is evident, bready style. Flavor is great- malt sticks, but balances well with hops and citrus- incredible. Smooth palate, wondrous APA.
