Commercial Description:
This beer is topped with an eternally compact foam and has a wonderfully intense roasted smell with a hint of chocolate. It’s well-rounded and its taste is dominated by roasted flavours which are in symphony with a choir of hops.

A pitch black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of both chocolate and coffee - and the flavor is like the aroma.

Sampled draught at the brewpub.
Very black with creamy head. Dry and intensely roasty with coffee and chocolate. Soft, velvetty mouthfeel and lingery grassy bitter finish. Tasty and well balanced.

Chocolatey black stout with a bittersweet palate. Light aroma, wet body, dryish finish.

Espresso head with black body. Aroma is medium sweet chocolate, lighter coffee. Taste is sweet coffee. Think Breyers coffee ice cream, with a trifle more bitterness, and you've got it. Creamy, fairly full body.

Nitro beige headed chocolate body. Very light roasted chocolate aroma, rather coffeeish. Ultra-creamy body, coffee and milky taste. Solid roasted finish. There's one quality beer that I'm surprised I had never tried. Very well-made stout just like we've come to expect from master stoutie JF Gravel and most brewers would be proud to have this as one of their flagships and staple on the menu.

Dark and opaque with a tan nitro head. Lightly roasted aroma is somewhat passified by the nitro tap. Body is sweet, but somewhat thin with a nice subtle dark fruit flavor. Very smooth roasty finish as well. A good, very drinkable stout.

Draft...This beer rocks!... Who turned out the lights? I am sitting in very bright sunlight and I still can’t see through this beer. Dark as midnight durning the new Moon. It’s on nitro, so it has a large, creamy, tan head. Terrific retention with interesting, cumulus lacing. Malty, burnt aroma that is very chocolatey with notes of vanilla and toasted nuts. Tastes and feels like a dry stout to me and the 5% ABV is concurrent with that assumption. Burnt, but not overly ashen or bitter. Balanced, yet malty. Medium to full-bodied and very dry. Lengthy, burnt, moderately bitter finish. Excellent stout / dry stout!

A night of coffee and chocolate maltiness envelops and soothes you to the very end…A sensuous body, lip-smacking dextrins that know when to let go, as rich as it is drinkable for this size...This is a goddess I would pray to…
