Pretty nice nose of wheat, perfumy (light) spices and pungent hops, a large presence of Belgian candy sugar and a very pleasent and enticing Belgian yeast aroma. Medium thickness, frothy, wetting the palate instantly, it’s a delicious, light and fluffy yeast that works so well in this one... a touch of citrus and fruity hops and you have a damn nice beer. eaglefan538 (2397), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

Poured a pretty golden color, fairly clear (for a Belgian) with some haze, lots of carbonation on display, generous head, and good Belgian-esque lacing. The aroma was grassy, wheaty, fruity esters, spices. Flavor followed the aroma, bananas and cloves the fruit and spice, finishing clean with the grass making for a nice finish. Came across like a Strong Golden in malt, flavor depth, sweetness. Was expecting a lighter and dryer Belgian Ale, although this was nice. kkearn (1010), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2008 bottle. Poured hazy golden with a huge white head that persists until the last sip. Lemongrass and wheat aromas up front, with some clove and hops. Wheat, yeast, and citrus flavors give way to earthy hops. Dry, mildly astringent finish. gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA

Very sticky lacing. Very inviting. Cider farmhouse aromas, with hazy mango, clove, and floral hops come through nicely. Malty texture on the tongue, with flavors of spicy wheat and grain. Nice hoppy finish. Dry, drinkable, and very refreshing. swoopjones (1919), Buffalo, New York, USA

Pours a slightly hazy golden with a thick long lasting white head that leaves great lacing. Aroma of spicy yeast, cloves, coriander, citrus, and floral hops. Taste is the same as aroma and finishes slightly grassy. Medium mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and a dry crisp spicy finish. Very good. mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 17, 2008 Pours a beautiful hazy peach-gold with a thick head that looks like beaten egg-whites. Aroma is full of promise - cloves, coriander, banana... yum. Oh god, Belgian blondes would ALL be immensely better if dry-hopped. This is totally the way to go! Wonderful crisp hop taste opens up into delicious malty sweetness perfectly balanced by lingering bitter hops, not grassy at all but lightly grapefruit-like. Notes of canned peaches. Alcohol warms the finish. Great creamy body, if a bit under-carbonated, but really quite nice. What a super treat - thanks to Robinvboyer for the trade!!! douglas88 (1645), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Poured a fairly clear and light orange with a powerful and huge white head. The aroma is spices, apple, and some citrus. The flavor is dominated by a zesty and spicy sweet malt, with tons of spices and a nice somewhat bitter hop finish. A very nice Belgian Ale. Less yeasty and more hoppy than most. I could drink a ton of this.
