Commercial Description:
Équinoxe du Printemps (French for "spring equinox") is the quintessential marriage of two great traditions: beer brewing in Scotland, and maple syrup production in Quebec. At the first draught, the mouth is overcome by woody, malty flavours, sustained by a discrete touch of sweetness. The aftertaste brings about the flavours of maple, which are sufficiently present to be appreciated, but never overwhelming the typical flavours of a Scotch Ale.

Equinoxe du printemps is brewed only once a year in January. It is aged for two months in order to attain a perfect balance in taste. Then, it is sold starting March 21st, until stocks last.

Bottle. Slight hazy reddish brown colored with a good off white head. Aromas of sweet malts, sugar/syrup, nuts, caramel, spices and dark fruit. Taste is warming and sweet. The sweetness is well balanced which makes this beer very drinkable and dangerous..

34,1 cl bottle. Bought @ VinensVerden, Odense: Pours hazy amber with a creamy head on top. Nose is sweet malty roast with plenty of caramel, sugar, syrup & hints of dark fruits such as plum & resin. Palate is smooth & filling. Warmth from alcohol. Lovely beer!

Bottle, shared with Jon, Mabel, and Jerc, courtesy of J&K. Dark brown, small white head, bubbly. Strong sweet aroma, with alcohol - very nice. Great taste - again, strong alcohol, lots of malt and a really nice earthy sweetness - a perfect blend of a Scotch Ale and maple syrup! Caramel in finish. A great warmer and a great beer.

Bottle. Small head with aromas of cardboard and alcohol, not a good sign. Honey, prune and maple. Not a good combination.

341ml brown bottle from Goldorak. Reddish brown colour. Good tight tan head, fades into a surface swirl. Sweet caramel and toffee aroma with a hint of boozy alcohol and rasins. Flavour is all about malt, rasiny fruit, nutty notes, strong toffee and caramel sweetness. End is woody, boozy and sweet with late hop notes. Medium slick body, light carbonation. Bottled versions states abv is 8%

Bottle. Medium high creamy and lasting off-white head. Hazy orange to red body. Powerful fruity aroma. Fruity and spicy flavor on the background of roasted barley malt. Suitable amount of carbonation and a long roasted caramel cocoa aftertaste. Nice surprise.
