Sep 12, 2009 Pours opaque deep brown color with almost no head. Strong alcohol is immediately noticeable on the nose, followed by maple syrup, caramelized sugar and some banana, reminds me of bananas foster pancakes. The flavor is intense, at first earthy woody malt, followed by the strong maple syrup, the alcohol is well hidden in the flavor. The aftertaste is one of the strongest I can remember, I can taste it for several minutes after each sip (a good thing). Very interesting beer, best enjoyed slowly as the flavors evolve nicely and the sweetness can be a little much if consumed quickly.

Sep 9, 2009 Bottled. Aroma has sugar, malts and some sherry. Hazy, brown coloured beer with a creamy, lasting head. The taste is sweet has sugary and caramelly maltiness, syrup, fruits and some sherry. It is really quite sweet.

Sep 7, 2009 Dark amber brown in color. Smells like honey, maple syrup, pear. Tastes richly sweet but not cloyingly so. Nutty and yummy. I would have a hard time drinking more than one though.

Sep 4, 2009 Thanks kiefdog for the share. Pours yellow-brown with an off-white head. Nose is booze, maple, honey, banana, clove, and floral hops. Flavor is maple, banana, booze, cloying sweetness, and lingering banana-clove. Light-medium body and lots of boozy sweetness. Borderline too sweet.

Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of banana, clove, wheat, grain, nuts, boozy, light notes of spice. Flavor is sweet and malty with notes of ripe dark fruit, banana, grassy wheat, hops, light floral fruit, Generally medium body with a pleasing malty boozy finish.
