Arome fort de grain de café fraichement torrifier. Superbe goût de café corsé, avec un peu d’amerturme. JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 28, 2007 Courtesy mcbackus. Poured black with a light tan head. Great aroma - strong bitter coffee and roasted malts. Quite a different scent than most other coffee stouts, but I can’t quite say how. The taste is smooth with the coffee bitterness and roastiness building up to the finish, which is super dry and holds a lot of coffee taste. One of the better coffee stouts I’ve had. Thanks Matt! | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Bottle. Black-colored beer with a huge brown head, a bit bubbly. Aroma of roasted barley, coffee beans, some coffee liquor and light fruitiness. Bitter flavor with some sweet, slightly chocolatey, notes, lots of coffee and tobacco and a bit of alcohol. Thick body. A good Imperial Stout. jasonp (1510), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 7, 2005 Sampled at Argo and Kathy’s 2006 Holiday Gathering. Black with a thick light brown head. Roasted coffee and some mustiness in the nose. The flavor is delicious; dark roasted coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and a prominent presence of alcohol. Has a pleasant sweetness with a roasty bitter finish. Medium body with subtle carbonation. I look forward to drinking this again. LilBeerDoctor (1505), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2008 Bottle. Pours black with a thick tan head that persists somewhat. Aroma of coffee, roasted and sweet malt. Aroma is weak (not as in not strong, just not very rich and robust). However, the flavor is a bit richer: lots and lots of burnt coffee (even stronger than in the aroma), bitter roasted malt, and peanut brittle. Strong, thick mouthfeel for a 9.5%. Not my favorite coffee stout (Beer Geek Breakfast is more balanced, less bitter and roasted), but still quite enjoyable and a very interesting beer to drink. Definitely try this one, it is quite unique! mjs (1502), Helsinki, Finland

Full and dry palate. Roasted malts and quite a bit of coffee in taste. Really nice imperial stout. shadey (1500), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 24, 2005 Black pour with a beautiful creamy mocha head. All coffee aroma but not too sharp. Rich. Despite what I have read this is very subtle and smooth. I wasn’t sure how I was gonna feel about this. Everyone hyped this in the begining and then some people naturally fight that hype. I personally enjoyed this very much even though I did not enjoy speedway stout. I managed to get 6 bottles. I am trading off 5. More people need to give this a try if it is going to be a top 50 beer.
