It looks just delicious in the glass, with a jet black body and a small, dense brown head on top. Wonderful aroma with roasted malts, coffee doing a lot of the job, and some alcohol to give a little punch in the nose. Lovely coffee-like flavor with sweetness to prevent it from going all dry, burnt malts, and bitterness from hops and also a coffee-like malty bitterness. Smooth as hell, quite dry, full-bodied and a bit warming. Lasting finish with hoppy and coffee-like bitterness and some alcohol. Just f’ing lovely. I’m soo sad I didn’t buy more of it. Aroma is full on fresh ground coffee beans with notes of bakers chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is roasty and full of coffee with hints of dark chocolate and caramel. Medium full mouthfeel with a moderate to strong amount of bitterness and well hidden alcohol. For the most part the beer is very one dimensional but so well balanced and tasty I just cant get enough. Damn Good. gunnfryd (3603), Kristiansand, Norway

A very hard pour leaves a opaque, pitch black liquid with a super bubbly medium tan head that dissapates rather quickly. The aroma is smokey, with some dark chocolate and lots and lots of coffee. The flavor is an even bigger kick of coffee, with some dark chocolate, some hazelnut, carmelized sugar, dark fruits and some smoke. I’ve had plenty of coffee stouts, but this one really hits the mark if that is the flavor you are looking for. This beer is big...chewy and oily over the tounge with a bittersweet coffee/dark chocolate finish. At first I thought this beer was kind of full of itself for the price it was charging for admission, but in the the end I feel it was worth the money. lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA

Aroma of roasted malt and coffee, some really nice dark chocolate and subtle hoppiness as well. Ridiculous coffee flavor melds perfectly with dark chocolate, roasted malts, and licorice. Fantastic full body with a dry, bitter finish. TheCheeseMan (539), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA

The color is a near ebony. The aroma is bullying. Coffee, dark chocolate, charcoal, acrid smoke. Intense. The flavor is bold and brutish. The coffee character really shines through. This is an amazing beer. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada
