| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 15, 2009 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear, medium brown amber color with a medium-sized ivory-colored head. The aroma opens with a dose of peppercorn mixed interestingly with sweet, grainy malt with only minor hints of rye. There is a vague fruitiness as well. The flavor pale malts, a touch bready, that is mostly lacking the sweetness from the nose. The peppercorn taste is very distinct once you start drinking it down. The spicy rye character is also present and lasts through the finish. This has a medium body with medium carbonation. This was an interesting beer but not your everyday drinker. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden

Quite intriuing spicy pepper aroma. Dry, clean and crisp. Burning black pepper overruns everything on it’s way. The crisp bready malt get crushed under the weight of the peppercorns. With a level of spicyness more suited to a steak than a drink it’s completely out of balance. douglas88 (1633), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Dec 4, 2009 12 ounce bottle shared by Eric. Pours a light brown color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet malts, spices, coca cola, light rye. The flavor is very unique; sweet and initially light spices, rye, toasted malts, then this insane peppery spice bite takes over. Hot massive peppery flavors. Leaves your throat hot. A cool thing. Teege (117), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 21, 2009 12 oz. bottle from Green’s. This beer starts really strong. It pours a beautiful cloudy brown. The aroma is full of rye and pepper with hints of bark. The flavor is surprisingly and a little disappointingly light. As one drinks the pepper becomes spicier and more noticeable, which is pleasing, but that is the only thing going on. Outside of that the flavor lacks any complexity. Also the beer could stand to be a little fuller in the body. Pretty interesting over all but it could use some tweaking. Fred82 (401), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 20, 2009 341ml bottle. POurs dark amber with small head. Nose really pepery and grainy. Some spices also. Taste is quite pepery with a very pepery finish. Some malt and grain. A bit sweet. Spicy sensation on the tongue on the finish. Not really my thing. smith4498 (916), Miami, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Pours reddish brown color with tan head. Aromas of rye, pepper, caramel and chocolate. Very peppery flavor. I can feel the heat in th back of my throat. There is some spiciness from the rye and fruity flavors. If you like peppercorns this is a beer for you. An intersting beer, I like it, but its not something I could drink every day. drpimento (842), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 11, 2009 An average beer aspiring to greatness. Poured with a small light tan head and no lace. Color is a nice, clear dark brownish amber. Aroma is mild but a little of the pepper comes out with some malt. Flavor is at first a little peppery along with caramel malt, right after that it’s a little hoppy, then the pepper keeps on coming. Body and carbonatioin are average at best. Finish is pretty much just the long warming effects of the pepper. Interesting premise, nothing real special tho. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Bottle: Hazy rusty bronze with a dense creamy tan head that retains. The aroma has a chewy dark rye richness- some toffee and deep caramel with chocolaty suggestions and a note of dates. Peppery palate with a firm chocolaty rye richness in the flavor. Toffeeish but not too sweet. Those peppercorns come through quite a bit from the peppery middle, meshing well with the hearty rye richness all the way into the spicy back. There’s quite a bit of heat on the back (from the peppercorns, not alcohol) which makes you thirsty for more. Very full bodied for the low ABV with lots of chewy rye malts and peppery hot/spicy balance from the peppery. Very unique and well done.
