I always love it when I have the glass to accompany the beer. Been looking forward to taking this from the cellar for some time, and as it had passed its best before date, felt it was about time. Very interesting amber colour, a bit like an Orval, which made up for the very uninteresting aroma. The taste felt like citrus in particular orange or mandarin, but without the lip smacking floridity of a St Feuillien. This was a sipper and a sharp aftertaste kept you from writing it off. The label looks better than the beer which is a bit of a shame but then it is one hell of a label cosmicpolly (27), Bruges, Belgium

Amber colour and it tastes like oranges, spices and a little bit of caramel. Not one of my favourite beers, but I definitely would try it again. CapedBrewsader (261), Brasschaat, Belgium

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 2, 2009 Nose of toast, pear, apple, slight banana. Light amber color, light haze, with slight gold and orange highlights. Light nutty flavor, banana, pear, light earth and citrus. Light to medium bitter finish, slightly creamy. Nice, balanced Beligum Amber. Really surpised by the rankings on here, this is a really delicious beer, but not "extreme" or done by a well established brewery, which is why I would account others for the low ratings. jkwalking05 (1485), Arlington, Texas, USA
