Amber, small off white head. Sweet but not too sweet. Lots of fruit, mostly of apples. Nice bitterness in the finnish. Medium body. The carbonation level is striking, though not disturbingly striking. In fact, there are not really any disturbing features in this satisfactory belgian ale.

Dark amber colour, thin head. Sweet sugary aroma with some fruit. Textureis a little soapy. Sweet candy flavour dominates giving hints of strawberry and orange. The malty finish is most welcome.

Nose of caramel, nuts, cherry, spices. Orange amber with flecks of lace. Juicy caramelised malt, wheat, possibly orange or lemon rind, just a hint of sourness. Kasteel Bruin shandy. Some traces of alcohol heat, but I’ve not had a beer for a few days. Ordinary amber ale.

Bottle conditioned, 250ml, at Take 1, Maastricht. Amber colour with white head. Hoppy bittersweet beer with a decent alcohol note. Nicely aromatic with a floral character, it finishes long and grassy.
