Nov 8, 2007 on tap-pours a retaining creamy light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-coffee/licorice, then acidic-rubbing alcohol. Taste follows. Dry finish. Not my style.

Jul 22, 2007 Draft at the brewery. Black with tan head. Great nose of toasty, roasted malts, harsh coffee, and faint creamy sweetness. Flavor delivers on all of these, very well balanced. Quite enjoyable, though it didn’t seem like nitrogen was involved at all.

Jul 9, 2007 Rating from 3/06. On tap @ DD. Served on beer gas. Dark color, red tints. Aroma is roasted barley, some chocolate. Taste is roasty with some sour notes. An admirable Guinness clone.

Dec 15, 2006 On tap at the Dillon Dam Brewery & Restaurant. On Nitro. Poured a dark brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of roasted and burnt malts, chocolate and light coffee. Lacing left on the glass. Thinner body.
