sneagrams3 (1388), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Jul 11, 2008 Tasted 6/22/08. Growler from the brewpub. Thanks to Levi and Randall for bringing this back. Clear with a dark brown hue. Finger width of beige head. Dark fruit and bitter hops in the nose. Medium to full bodied with a toasty vanilla flavor. Nice chocolate note. Mildly hopped and a touch dry in the finish. Sweet palate. Pretty simple, but drinkable. luckygirl (1212), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jan 10, 2006 Had this at the brewery. Beer poured a clear, dark-brown color with a small, creamy, light-brown, mostly diminishing head. The aroma was malty with light notes of coffee and moderately strong notes of cookie, roasted grain and caramel. There was also a light note of vanilla extract. The flavor was lightly sweet-lightly bitter initially and gave away to an average-length finish with a trace of bitterness and trace smokey retros. The body was medium-to-full, the texture was velvety and the carbonation was soft.
