pretty pale looking. wasn’t watery or thin however. Had a slight skunk aroma to it. Taste was a bit malty. noting special. seemed pretty drinkable.

Clear golden colour with a super thin white head-pretty bad for the style! Aroma of pale malt, skunk and a bit of caster sugar. Light-bod; Pretty bland with some hops and malt coming through. Aftertaste mostly fruit with some caster sugar and malt noticeable. Overall, not bad for a lager - I’ve seen worse! Thanks jon for this one. I sampled this 12 ounce bottle pulled from one of the cheesy World 12 Pack Samplers on 31 May 2005.

Compact and adherent foam, good persistence. Limpid yellow color, enough shining and little bubbly. Light toasted malty and alcohol aroma. Light and lean taste, light malty notes; determined and strong bitter on the end. Little stinging and little enduring.

(Bottle 50 cl) Classical golden pilsener with a rather handsome head. Mild and well balanced with only a hint of hops. Malty and pleasant but could do with a bit more personality. 080802

(Bottle) Huge foamy white head, pale yellow body, almost clear. Lacing decent. Aroma malt, faintly skunky, slight metallic? What a smooth beer! No skunkiness at all in flavor. Very clean. Nothing really jumps out at you but just so darn drinkable.

Got a 12 pack wanted to try it. I did not like this and I love warsteiner. This was very bitter with a harsh after taste. I thought it was maybe me so I tried it on 5 different occasions and some friends also tried it no positive responses.

(12 oz bottle: BevMo in La Jolla, CA) Decent German pilsener features a mildly grainy malt flavor balanced by a spicy, moderately bitter hoppiness. The malt flavor has a slight sweetness and a barely perceptible smoky character found in my favorite European pilsners. For comparison, it’s a little less flavorful than Spaten Pils and with less hops, but more balanced, and that balance appeals to me. Nice, moderately hoppy nose has a lightly grainy and malty aroma. Medium straw color. White head has good size on the pour but dies down to a thin layer fairly quickly, but leaving a significant amount of droopy, ringed lacing on the glass. Not good, not bad, just average, or if anything, slightly below average for the imported German pilseners I can get around here. In other words, not worth buying a six pack again.
