I am already biased against pilsners but this is one I tried to rate within the style...really for a pils is was pretty good. It had a persistant fluffly bright white head on a very unatractive pale straw color with moderate lacing. Typical pilsner aroma...grassy hops and very little malt. Taste light yet hearty straw like hoppy presence. The palate was appropriate for the taste...light and effervescent. Not a bad summertime brew.

this is a good quaility beer, perfect for spring -- when you get tired of stouts. it’s much better on tap

This beer poors a very light yellow color but toped with a nice white frothy head. Aroma is lightly malty and has noticable grassy herbal aroma. Flavor is dry, little in the way of malt backbone and is ligh of palate. A nice summertime refresher I would surmise but the weak palate puts me off a bit.

Poured with a decent head which fades to a steady cover and lasting lace. Has a pale golden color. Recall this as being more bitter than this one. There’s a bit of earthiness to the aroma and is sort of intriguing in an odd way. Not bad, each taste gives me a different perspective. There’s a definite sweetness to it that may be the industries’ move towards trying to not scare any potential customers with something that’s not immediately pleasant. It’s not bad, could do worse, but the previously reviewed Bitburger was much better. Got this in a beer of the month club.

Bottle. Light straw body with a foamy head. Mmmmmmm..Skunky. For you people playing along at home, I love skunky beers, and this one delivers. First flavors to come out are honey, manure, skunk, and straw. There is a strong flavor of straw/barn/horse shit (in a good way!). Interesting. On one level, it disappoints, and on another it delivers. It has some nice skunky earthiness and some good bitter, but that is countered with a metallic dry aftertaste. I would drink this again, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

Pours pale yellow with some whitish fizzy head. Aroma is malty and hayish. Taste is very sweet and malty, but nice and light. Overall pretty decent.

Classic golden color on the pour. Aroma is somewhat malty with a bit of a grain smell as well. Nice crisp lightly malty flavor. A little bit of grainy bitterness towards the end.

Despite the green bottle and its long journey to me, this was a decent drinking. Pale yellow with lively carbonation and a foamy white head that coated my glass, this has a grassy yet somewhat bitter aroma. Very lively mouthfeel. This has a light malt flavoring with a refreshingly bitter hopping. Very crisp finish with a final smacking of the hops. A decent German pils.
