This was better beer than the other raters give it - perhaps the mini keg preserved the freshness better than those horrible green bottles. Good golden color with a beautiful head of froth with that classic German hop aroma. Just the right amount of bitterness takes this right to the finish. Very enjoyable brew. sethdude (603), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Oct 14, 2003 Cheesy aroma, clear straw color. Thin white head that vanished almost as fast as Coors Light. Void of any hops to offset the malt taste. I'll skip this the next time around. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 10, 2003 Appearance is a golden color with moderate head. Flavor is bitter with a nice hop bite and a dry finish. I enjoy the hops in this one, but I prefer this style to have a little less hops and more diacetyl. There needs to be more malt to balance it out. Decent pils but a little too much of a 1-D hopped lager for my liking. Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA

Light to medium bodied with a little sweetness up front, but mostly very dry, almost parched, with some hoppy bitterness at the finish. Tasted fairly fresh and it was decent but nothing special. Faint malts, terribly dry, metallic, light body, finishing extremely dry with some skunky bitterness. Nothing special here at all. brownaler (379), Topsail Beach, North Carolina, USA
