Flavour much of the same, remarkably, it reminded me of drinking LowenBrau as a kid in Honolulu. Drinkable, however, not exactly what I would consider a top notch pils. And yeah, I know, lowies is a lager/helles type beer. 502Flavors (621), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Green bottle with a different label that the pic on here (for all I know this thing could have been sitting at the liquor store for years!). Piss poor yellow clear no carbonation bubbles. Good white head that laces... but the color of the body is soo weak and off-putting that this is a 1 for appearance. Aroma is very one-dimensional, all corn - just a notch above Budweiser. Flavor is bitingly bitter, but not in a good way - grossly bitter hops, like rotten old hops with no flavor. I gave them a point for adding hops. It is actually tasting like mouthwash and draino poured into a pale lager now. Light anus on the palate. Overall: umm? Number 1 stunna? DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 9, 2008 (Bottle). Aroma is hay, slightly sour. Pale golden body, foamy white head. Flavor is straw and yeast, lightly bitter, then becomes somewhat spicy in the finish. Not great, but not nearly as bad as some of the ratings would have it. asheft (1437), Marburg, Germany

Typical pils aroma, balanced towards hops. Bright gold with a lacy white cover. Very bitter and dry with only a little malt and hops flavour which are overpowered by the hops bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation, moderately bitter finish. jefcon (1003), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 23, 2008 Fair pils --- light in color with a lot of cereal on the nose. Stiff cardboard on the tongue, but not sharp or unpleasant. Nice finish as compared to other German beers in the same family. Lots of malt. Middle of the road pilsener for me. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 23, 2008 This is not bad, a definite German-style pilsner but with a rather thin, mass-produced quality to it. It’s not nearly close to the top examples, but it’s a lot better than the likes of Beck’s and is clean and crisp.
Gold and bright, it has a smallish, off-white head soon thinning to a bubbly top and ring. The smell is grass, bread, sulphur, and spice - very German. The taste is also very German with mostly grass-and-herbs hop character on a crisp, thin malt backbone with hints of bread, apple, and honey. It has a very German, very crisp, butter herb/grass finish, tingly, refreshing. It’s definitely on the thin, yet hoppy and bitter side.
