Bouquet opens up and clears once poured. Good looking ubiquitous pale yellow lager appearance with a nice continuous upside-down waterfall of waving bubbles. This is quite hypnotizing for a pale yellow beer. Quite strong metallic malty impact. Good bitter personality. I don’t remember it being so bitter last time I had it. Biting back of throat odd hop bite builds. Back of palate finish is refined industrial medicine bitter characters that hang for a while. Will not buy again. Expected this to have more manners after drinken the dark. NobleSquirrel (1110), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 22, 2007 A quite mediocre pilsener, to say the least. Not enough bitterness to qualify it in my opinion. Could do without... BDR (2160), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2007 Light yellow body with pure white head. Sweet corn and hop nose. Bottle stank of skunk but thankfully most of that wafted away once poured. Sweet malt and corn body with a bitter finish. HopheadHans (755), Bay Area, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2007 Bottle. Pours with a pale yellow color. Typical pils aromas of grain and hops.
Flavor exhibits a certain mustiness, grains and hops. Light and refreshing, a protoype of the German Pilsener style. wcampbell (577), Central, South Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 5, 2007 I actually thought this was pretty decent. Although there was almost no malt flavor and the beer was a little fizzy, there was a solid hop character. Better than most pilsners. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 4, 2007 Bottle. Stenchy, sweaty corn and ripe, sweaty hops in the nose, with some old, sour grains as well. Sharp and biting up front, more oily over the middle. Standard corn, lemon and sour cereal grain flavor. Pretty poor example of a German pils. BrewDad (2370), Olympia, Washington, USA

Light golden yellow color with a thin head. Crisp pilsner flavor with a good use of malts this was perfect for those hot days. Goes down fast and easy. Nothing too special about this beer.

Well at least it isn’t skunky as so many green bottle imports are. Pours a golden blond with a tiny head. Not much from the nose..mostly just grainy with a little grass, some corn...some subtle hops. Tastes pretty much like it smells..very grainy, earthy with an astringant aftertaste. Light body, moderate/high carbonation.
