Narnad (106), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA Jun 11, 2008 Poured from a green bottle was clear straw in color, small white head formed when poured and a lot of carbonation. Skunk smell at first but dissipates pretty quickly and leaves the strong hops aroma behind. Flavor is very cheap grainy flavor. Didn’t care for this beer too much but do enjoy other beers in this German pils style.

Typical pils aroma, balanced towards hops. Bright gold with a lacy white cover. Very bitter and dry with only a little malt and hops flavour which are overpowered by the hops bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation, moderately bitter finish. jefcon (848), Arlington, Virginia, USA Sep 23, 2008 Fair pils --- light in color with a lot of cereal on the nose. Stiff cardboard on the tongue, but not sharp or unpleasant. Nice finish as compared to other German beers in the same family. Lots of malt. Middle of the road pilsener for me. Wulfstan (481), California, USA Sep 23, 2008 This is not bad, a definite German-style pilsner but with a rather thin, mass-produced quality to it. It’s not nearly close to the top examples, but it’s a lot better than the likes of Beck’s and is clean and crisp.
Gold and bright, it has a smallish, off-white head soon thinning to a bubbly top and ring. The smell is grass, bread, sulphur, and spice - very German. The taste is also very German with mostly grass-and-herbs hop character on a crisp, thin malt backbone with hints of bread, apple, and honey. It has a very German, very crisp, butter herb/grass finish, tingly, refreshing. It’s definitely on the thin, yet hoppy and bitter side.
pacaus (42), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 19, 2008 Decent German beer with a good taste to it. For me it was a little bitter in the taste and after taste. I definitely a good German hefe-weizen though. But for a pilsner its good. gerardoluna (168), Mexico Sep 17, 2008 [Eyes] Light Yellow golden color with a medium head
[Nouse] grassy/floral aroma.
[Mouth] Medium body with a little sweetness, very dry, some hoppy bitterness at the finish.
