Good basic dunkel malty flavor though a touch thin. Finishes with some nice hops and come caramel flavors. Not terribly exciting but a decent dunkel. eggman (45), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 5, 2006 12 oz. bottle, purchased by a friend for my 30th birthday...Pours a clear, sparkling cherry wood with a small, cream colored frothy head. Spare lacing...Smell light perfume hops and definite caramel malts, also detect a light alcohol aroma...Early carbonation with an oddly sticky texture. Medium bodied and a definite metallic finish...Short earthy caramel flavor and lightly bitter...Best word to describe this brew is "odd". A dry, smoky, apple taste with not much else really going on. Not bad, but borderline boring. Could drink a few if I didn’t have many other options but I also wouldn’t care if I never had this again. IrishBoy (2719), Bakersfield, California, USA

Taste is somewhat thin, too; slight taste of hops, malt. Very average. jaymobrown (1360), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 3, 2006 Bottle: poured a copper red, small thin head. Light fruit. Slightly malty with a little warm hop at the end. Taste more like a Marzen than a Dinkel to me... Not a bad brew, but nothing to write home about. mephisto (1144), Taiwan
