Light caramel and dough aroma. Somewhat sweet and unassuming. Drinkable and somewhat forgetable. kwoeltje (1333), Manchester, Missouri, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 28, 2003 This one pours a clear, dark brown color with a small, off-white head that lingers a minute before dissipating. It has a slightly sweet, all malt aroma. Medium bodied and sweet, the flavor is all malt up front with a lingering, roasted malt finish. This is a nice smooth dunkel for an easy drinking evening. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jan 20, 2003 Interesting roasty nose of flowers, resin, smoke and beef broth. Pours from the bottle a dark ruby copper. The tall beige frothy/creamy head is mostly lasing with good lacing. The brew starts sweet with a light middle and a sweet/bitter long roasted finish. The medium creamy and fizzy body finishes astringent. Rockinout (946), Kent, Ohio, USA
