Well it is a fall color - brown with red/orange highlights. Minuscule head, malty aroma that is doughy with some brown sugar. More of the same in the somewhat candyish, though thin, palate. Okay.

An easy drinking brew, dark pour, small head, some sweetness, caramel, slight bitterness, watery on the finish, not bad, but not a regular drinker for me.

Malty thick yeasty aroma. Hints of caramel. A little thin, but still pleasant on the palette. Fairly dry, malty flavor. Overall not a very bold beer, but very drinkable.

6/30/07 On Draught at the Seattle International Beerfest. Aroma is Sweet caramel malt forward. Appearance is clean, dark copper with an off-white head. Flavor is sweet malt forward with lots of caramel. Bittering is light with light sourness, oakiness, and alcohol. Mouthfeel is light bodied, crisp, very cleanly made. Overall, an easy drinking brew that does taste freshly made.

Draft. Aroma: Lightly sweet roasted malt with notes of brown sugar, bread, and chocolate. Appearance: Dark brown in color and clear. Light khaki head was small and frothy with fair retention. Not much lacing. Flavor: German malt with notes of brown sugar, bread, toasted nuts, and chocolate. Medium-dry finish with some malt flavor carrying over. Palate: Medium bodied. moderate-low carbonation. Overall: This was the first beer I ordered of the night (to try it) and ended up being my beer for the whole session. Nice flavor and easy to drink.
