| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 18, 2007 Sold in a green bottle, but was not the least bit skunky. The aroma was of lightly roasted malts, hops, and was a little beefy. Tea coliored pour with a thin off white head. Relatively weak flavor with some hops and roasted grains detectable. Uncooked pasta finish ringed with some lower quality hops, very subdued though. TheBeerBaron (219), Florida, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 16, 2007 Clear dark brown color, fading head and no perceptible carbonation - average overall look. Malt aroma, wheat with suagary level of molases - think Mrs. Buttersworth. Thick palate and flat taste makes for a sweet sugary flavor like a pancake syrup coupled with alcohol. Hop flavoring is there but doesn’t overcome that maple. So overall its thick sweet and ultimately unenjoyable. Pass on this. BREWMUSKCLES (1084), New Jersey, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 9, 2007 Pours a clear-brown with a very foamy head. Aroma has hints of nuts, it’s a bit earthy...wish it were stronger. Initial flavor is malty with a nice roasted flavor to it. The finish leaves a bit to be desired. There’s a lingering bitterness on the tongue that isn’t altogether unpleasant. Good middle-of-the-road beer. If it were available, I’d stock up for rainy days. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 25, 2007 Mahogany color with no head. Slight aroma of malt syrup and watery grain. The taste is a weird mix between being cloyingly sweet and the dead-dryness of a grainy lager. Nothing I’d get again jellybeanriot (27), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 7, 2007 Aroma is interesting- sweet and salty, with a hint of soy sauce and even some berry notes. Flavor is full and rich, malty, sweet, toasty, with a bit of caramel and no perceptible bitterness. Mouthfeel is a bit thin, but not watery. I like it! JK (2961), Richfield, Minnesota, USA

Dark brown color with low carbonation. Flavor is roasted grain. They did a good job with this. Great body, especially for the style. garrison (457), Cin. city, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 19, 2007 From a twelve ounce bottle purchased at "Keller’s IA" in Cincinnati, Ohio - This one pours a very dark brown brew woth a thin, fine tan head and a sweet, malty aroma. Tastewise, it’s not at all a bad ber, but it’s not outstanding. But how many other $8.99 per twelve pack quality German beers are there?
