Commercial Description:
The fiery color and unique thirst quenching hop profile give this amber ale a signature all its own. Hand-selected Cascade hops from the NorthWest United States provide a distinct citrus flavor, while still allowing for a subtle malty sweetness.

On tap at the District Chophouse. Pours a clear lightly orange amber with a thin beige head. Touch of citrus hops on the nose with a little bit of toasted malt behind it. Light grain, little bit of earthy hops. Finishes with a bit of grapefruit bitterness and a bit more grain.

Appearance: Dark amber with brown – copper shade , large creamy top. Good lace shown.
Nose: light nose for amber , grainy sweets were muted with shade of citric hop
Flavor/Palate : Lemon grass , black tea with finish as blend of them. Hops never really showed up. Fine brew but one that I would not come back too.

Location: Tap at the Brew Pub , 8/7/09

Overall Impression: Not particularly hoppy, this is an alright beer. I didn’t find it particularly exciting, but not particularly bad either, it just kind of is. Decent, drinkable.

Draught at the brewery. Amber red color with a lasting creamy light beige head. Malty bread crust aroma with some light hops as well. Malty flavor of caramel and bread crust. A touch of sweetness and some subtle piney hops. Medium-light body and smooth carbonation. The board said that this was "seriously hopped in the west coast style" um... no. Just no. I can’t really hate on it per se, but it this is just not hoppy by any measure, especially compared to the Capitol Amber Waves being brewed just up the street.

Light golden brown color served with no head. High carbonation again nothing that jumps out at the drinker that would make it stand out in a crowd.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours amber in color with off white head. Aroma sweet, malty and citrus hops. Taste malty and citrus hops with bitter finish. This one is more or an APA then a Amber Ale.
