Very nice mgermani (549), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Mar 15, 2008 Pours a dark brown with minimal head and some lacing. Aroma of light molasses with a bit of chocolate malt. Lightly toasted taste, whole-wheat breadiness, rather weak and watery. Body is lightly creamy with passable carbonation. Not a particularly engaging beer. Oakes (6771), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 9, 2008 Billed as dunkel, dark lager, black lager depending on the server but Derrick called it a Schwarzbier. Medium-dark brown body. Thich head. Light chocolatey nose. Hint of chocolate, earth, toast in a light body. Mild but enjoyable.
