Brownish in color, clear look, and has a decent off white head. The smell is malts, grainy, light roast, slight fruits, and cardboard. The taste is corn, grains, malts, and soggy paper.

1st April 2008 European version. Dark lager. Soft and mild with a pronounced minerally maltiness. Easy going.

The color of a Diet Coke with the ice melted to dilute it a bit. Fluffy head, but swath of lace. Hazy and dense. Nice toasted malt in the smell, has a sweet caramel backing. Roasted nly slightly for a really pleasant sweet malty aroma. Excellent roasted chocolate and caramel flavors. The character of a very light porter. Lots of caramel flavor. A tad bitter, a tad sweet. Tastes better cold. Watery feel like a lager, but not in a bad way. Leaves a good film on the tongue. It’s a nice caramel-laden drink. Light in body and drinkable. Sweet and good.

Melted caramel in color with a rocky, beige head. Sweet caramel aroma, light chocolate, some nuts. Silky smooth body even though the massive head led me to believe it would be rather carbonated. Caramel flavored. Light brown sugar and the faintest bit of cocoa. Super easy to swig and I didn’t realize I had downed 3/4 of it after just a couple gulps. It’s a decent brew, but nothing outstanding.

( 12oz bottle) Pours clear chocolate brown, good lace and nice off-white head. Nose is nutty, sweet malt, light corn aroma. Taste needs some sweetness, over carbonated but in a nice way, lightly creamy but watery. Like an unsweet brown ale with a light smoky finish.

On tap at bourbon street with ThorTheViking. A fine swartzy lager, was expecting far worse. Burnt malts but easy like yuengling.

Bottle. Hazelnut brown with thin creamy head. Malts, nuts and brown sugar nose. Taste is dried fruit, malts, and dirt. Carbonated mouthfeel. Not very good.
