Sourish dusty aroma has caramel and metallic BMC qualities to go with a nice dash of nuttiness and stale cardboard. Amber-brown body, dim but not opaque, with a lacing, tiny-bubbled light brown head. Crisp, thin body. Taste is lightly sour and acidic with matching roasty tones. Caramel and an industrial attempt at fruit. Slightly rooty with a pleasant sort of standard sweetness (not quite aspartame). Dry, slightly metallic finish. Can’t say I hate this, but I’m sure not buying it again. hayduke (1654), Eureka, California, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 17, 2008 Sampled during joebrew’s Wednesday evening beer tasting at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and ring top. Aroma of light caramel malt, some citrus zest, a touch of berry and some creamed corn. Taste is light to medium bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of a caramel malt and citrus brew. Finish has a good balance of sweetness and dry malt aftertaste. This could be considered a good session beer. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA

Bready honey and maple syrup aroma; lightly pungent with cloying sugar and high fructose corn syrup. A bit of cinnamon toward the back. Flavors of wet old wood and flat lemon and lime soda; lightly tart, softly bitter, and very bored. Tacky, sticky, and thin in the mouth; mild, sugary berries in the dry finish. Altogether, unpleasant. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA
