Bottle from Evertons Wines, Worcester. Very Munchen dunkel in nose and taste (toffee/caramel) with a sweetish caramel and treacle flavour with some malty backbone and a mellow, toffee, sweetish caramelly finish. Quite tasty and a good go at a Munchen Dunkel.

Very different to anything iv ever had, reminds me of a stout flavoured lager, eh alot of different flavours to mingle with, but maybe a little unexciting.

The aroma is sweet and smells like toasted caramel malt. Deep red brown color with an average head. The flavor has enough toasted caramel malt that it would be easy to forget that its a lager and not a porter or stout. The flavor is not very complex and the hopping is resin like but overall this is very good for a lager. Fans of all styles of beer will appreciate this one.

Pours black with a quite thin head. Vanilla nose with small hints of brown sugar. Fruity, slight metallic flavour with some hoppiness. Malty and roasted in finish. Sticky mouthfeel.

Near opaque with no head. Some aromatic notes of creme chocolate - really light and airy. Strong ’tin’ overtones to the body - distract from some decent malt character. Drinkable but not desirable.

Good stuff. Sweet, but still hoppy. Nice finish. Always had this with bbq chicken whilein Virginia. Haven’t tried it since moving. May have been the atmosphere, but I remember this as being a nice, easy beer.
