Nice dark amber, brownish head. Aroma from chocolate with coffee notes. Malty and some exotic fruits. Flavor brings fruit and licorice, malty and with a mild finish.

One thing this beer had was it didn’t taste like a lager at all which it says on the bottle, what it taste like I don’t really know but it had some flavor that I didn’t like that much.

Nov, 2002@ A cheap lager with a chocolate bar waved teasingly over the glass.

Pours dark brown in color. Aroma is slightly roasted. Very light carbonation. Kind of sweet and a little bit of a roasted flavor as well. Too watery.

Brown coloured. Strange malty aroma with lots of raisins. Weak and metallic flavour. Very thin.and boring. No aftertaste.

The darkest red you can get before turning real black, with a tan head. There’s a sweet roasty aroma. Sweet flavors and much thinner than anticipated. Pretty tame beer.

Had this out of a bottle with dinner at The Red Fish Grille in the French Quarter. Smokey nose of malt and plums. Pours a very dark brown with little head. The flavor is surprisingly neutral with decent balance. The finish is peppery. The medium body is lively and feels alcoholic at the finish. I took the bottle home.
