There’s a sweet roasty aroma. Sweet flavors and much thinner than anticipated. Pretty tame beer. ultraspank (866), Dublin, Ohio, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 19, 2004 Had this out of a bottle with dinner at The Red Fish Grille in the French Quarter. Smokey nose of malt and plums. Pours a very dark brown with little head. The flavor is surprisingly neutral with decent balance. The finish is peppery. The medium body is lively and feels alcoholic at the finish. I took the bottle home.
