Bottle. Medium attempt at a Kulmbach style of beer. It’s a lot weaker than they made it 3 years ago. Still not to bad of a fall hinted , halloween beer.

bottle. why is this one a twist off and the bottle of dixie i had wasn’t? pours black with a thin dark tinted grey head. dry slight stale brown sugar aroma. brown sugar flavor and the same sour honey as i experienced with the Dixie. very raw tasting and leaves a hay bitterness that reminds me of when i was younger and brothers would force me to eat hay from my grandparents barn, damn the flashbacks this beer brings. it’s never a good thing when a beer reminds you of a traumatic experience.

Bottle. Dark body with a touch of crimson. Has the same honey taste as Dixie lager. Sweet, malty, slightly nutty. Nice.

I didn’t like this beer. Poured a dark amber color and had a sweet aroma, as well as the taste, but was very flat. Almost like flavored water.

didn’t like this at all!!! dark amber brown hue, chocolatey sweet aroma & taste, caramel/honey... body was really thin, a litte too thin. tasted watery yet buttery/oily...IMO.

Bottled: Red brown coloured. Brownish head. Chocolate and malt in the aroma. Flavour is full of iron and is somewhat sweet. Is watery. Dies quickly on the palate. Thanks for sharing, Jens.

A red-brown beer with a small disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and brown sugar. The flavor is sweet with notes of metal and caramel, while the body is thin.

I got hooked on this stuff during my first trip to New Orleans many years ago. It’s got a dark brown, nearly black body with a brown head. There’s more of a malty sweetness to the aroma than there is to the taste, whic gices a rich, malty/chocolatey mouth-feel with a slight bitter finish. I always keep some in my ’fridge.
