Aroma: slight chocolate/cream scents. smells of chocolate milk. smells like a milk stout.
Appearance: dark brown; tan head
Flavor: watery, slightly sweet candy taste.
Palate: no body at all, after smelling it would seem like it should be thick and flavorful but it's not. nasty aftertaste!
Overall: smells good tastes not so much. wouldn't buy again.

Depp brown... almost black, but held up to the light it's clearly a deep brown color. The aroma is not promising at all... skunky corn and vegetables like a cheap lager. Flavor is a mild skunky and smoky vegetable, offensive initially on the lips and tongue, but loses most flavor by mid-drink, which make this not as bad. Still not a very drinkable beer. Finish is a dull, smoky dry feeling.

Bottle. Nice rich reddish dark brown color, clear with some light -yellow mocha colored head. Faint aroma has some chocolate malt in it. Begins very sweet, but not cloyingly so. What struck me about this beer was the wonderful sweet balance that remained alongside the crisp clean lager mouthfeel and finish. Touch of anise/root flavor on the finish, some light coffee tones, barley and a hint of hops in the background. Very nicely done.

Wonderful Louisiana beer. Probably the best coming from my homestate. Wonderful dark color and beautiful head. Very drinkable, and highly recommended for Mardi Gras.
