This bottled brew poured a medium head of fine to medium sized long lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body contained soft carbonation, was transparent and brown in color. Its aroma contains notes of malt caramel and is nice. Its mouth feel is initially very tingly smooth crisp and clean with a mellow lingering caramel aftertaste. Its flavor contains notes of strong malts mild caramels and something I can only describe as a red flavor.

Aroma is light and there are hints of maltiness with slight caramel. Faint. Pours a transparent amber/red/garnet color with a small quickly dissipating light tan head. Start is somewhat watery. Mild sweet maltiness in the middle with a tiny bitter hop kick to finish. This is pretty boring with no significant definable characteristics.

This is an OK ale. Not as good as Newcastle. It smells great, but it tastes watery--kinda nutty...kinda bitter. It’s an OK beer, I do suppose.

The aroma is probably the best part about this ale. It smells like ale and I expected a fuller-bodied taste but got a more watered down taste. It just tastes too much like New Orleans water as opposed to New Orleans ale and does not live up to the promise of its aroma. All in all, disappointing and lacking in complexity.

bottled: very sweet aroma... i’m having a hard time placing the flavors, probably because i’m not trying very hard cause it’s really not worth the effort. It’s a cheap, light fruity lager beer. I’m gonna kill this 6-er quickly and see what else i can find

Dark brown body with red highlights. Oxidized aroma and flavor, lots of cardboard/paper notes. Raisin bread aroma with dark chocolate notes. Terrible flavor, much too sweet. Reminds me of those cheap butterscotch halloween candies with the orange or black wrappers eaten with the wrapper still on. Skip this stuff if you see it!

Crimson with an off-white head. Sweet caramel malts, stale cardboard taste that is a little sweet. Not something that I’m planning on drinking again.
