12 oz bottle purchased at the Oak. Pours a horrible looking brown body with a lighter upper brown body, imagine an iced tea sitting in the sun for a half hour and that lighter shade from ice melting and combining with the iced tea. A small creamy light tan head that disipates quicker then I can type. Aroma of malts combined with a wierd honey, grape jelly scent. Flavor is sweet malt more like an amber then a dark lager. Drinkable but nothing to write home about.

Cidery, with a touch of hops. Deep amber color, reminiscent of the silhouette of the mosquito in Jurassic Park. Tastes a lot like something I’d love to wash crawfish down with, which I suppose makes sense, given that it’s from Louisiana.

Pours with very little head, looks almost like a soda when finished. Deep, dark almost crimson color, with very inviting aroma. Sweet, light taste, malty.

Amber with a thin white head. Red fruit, molasses, and malt in the aroma. Malt, rasberry, and veggies in the taste. Cool name, lame beer.

Had a bottle at a Cajun restaraunt while on business travel in NJ. Pours a lightly hazy deep brown amber with golden highlights and a medium off with creamy lightly lacing head. Aroma was fruity, molasses, berries, dark fruits and some caramel. Flavors of the same with some toasted malts and more molasses. Very malty and fruit ale. Not sure why it is listed as a lager...if this one was lagered I don’t know where all the fruitiness is coming from.

bottle - Pours amber with a thin head. It has a malty aroma iwth maybe a little dark fruit tone. The flavor was also malty and put me in mind of raisins to go with the caramel malts and mild hops. The medium body was a little watery and the finish mildly dry. I expected a little better ratings here.
