Pours a bronze-bodied beer with dusty particulate under a quick head. Surprised to find pleasant green grapes in the aroma along with a base of wheat and (influenced by Magic_dave6’s rating below) a hint of vanilla. Tastes alot like a Fig Newton, but it also has an adjuncty, carboardy tinge and a hint of Granny Smith (... the apple, you sicko). Palate provides a light tingle in the mouth before a dry finish. Let me ease the ratings back "into the grain" with a 3.0.

Well running against the grain by the looks of things here. Surely it must be illegal to have a beer without a % also? Aroma gives vienna malts, vanilla, and is seriously fruity as though its out of date in a good way. Taste is very similar though fuller and even fruitier, little age coming through, complex mix of malts, spicey toffee malts, peppery hops finish it off nicely. Maybe i just had a good bottle but i thought this was really good.

Bottle: Mahogany amber color, light head and lacing. Nose of plum, prune and fermented raisin. Sweet, dusty, like old carpet at a candy store. The flavor is similar, light soy and rotten dusty fig notes. The finish is light, odd, caramelly. Dark beer. It works in the long run.

12oz bottle, from the "Knotty Pine on the Bayou." Located in Cold Springs,KY. Pale yellow in color. I wouldnt even call it golden, its so pale. A sweetness in the flavor that I cant quite pin down. Almost like a sweet whiskey? Overall, its not that great. I didnt ask for another.

POured with a memdium amber colored body. I was expecting somethign lighter colored. The head was white. Aroma had some soap with sweet oranges and pancakes. The taste was sweet watermelon bubbloegum. There was also some interesting iced tea. This is an interesting beer and not offensive as I would have expected.

Bottle (12oz). Poured clear amber with small white fizzy head - not very nice looking. Aroma of nasty shoe polish and spoiled milk, maybe a bit of malt - but mostly burned butterscotch - nossir, I don’t like it. Holding my nose, tasted of butterscotch, charcoal, light roast malt - taste is actually interesting. Mouthfeel is dry and thin. Don’t smell is my advice.
