Jan 12, 2007 Well running against the grain by the looks of things here. Surely it must be illegal to have a beer without a % also? Aroma gives vienna malts, vanilla, and is seriously fruity as though its out of date in a good way. Taste is very similar though fuller and even fruitier, little age coming through, complex mix of malts, spicey toffee malts, peppery hops finish it off nicely. Maybe i just had a good bottle but i thought this was really good.

Sep 28, 2001 Updated: Mar 1, 2003With a name like dixie, it better be good, and this stuff was only decent. It is a light beer, but it was really solid and I respected it. A full bodied flavor for a light beer. Much better than that white moose shit they make.

Dec 5, 2009 Nice toasty aroma & crystal clear brown in color. Some cereal malt flavor with a touch of toffee and toast. Weak hops aftertaste. Overall it’s a nice brew not offensive but easy drinking. I’ll purchase more.

Dec 20, 2008 Very nice light beer. I find if funny that its called Amber light but it is a very light gold. Aroma was very nice for a pale lager. Very grainy with pale malt. Pour was a nice light gold with a 2 finger white head and a lot of tiny rising bubbles. Taste was different. A lot of flavor for a light beer. Again very grainy with sticky pale malt and almost a hint of honey. Sweet aftertaste. Heavy carbonation. So strong that you have to wait in between sips because your cheeks are burning.

Jun 2, 2008 The aroma is dusty and grainy with some amber caramel malt and grassy hops. The appearance is deep gold with a decent head. The flavor is very malty with light toasty and buttery qualities. The palate is smooth. Overall this has to be the BEST light beer I have had.

Jun 23, 2008 12 oz bottle..pours amber with a fluffy white head that quickly diminished to leave some soapy film after each sip. The aroma was light caramel, wood, funk, and earthiness. The flavor was watery caramel, and grassy hops. The palate was somewhat watery, and dry w/ a moderate amount of carbonation. For a light beer it drank a wee bit heavier. It was refreshing w/o being too watery or boring. Very nice effort...

Jun 1, 2008 For a light beer pilsner this isn’t that bad. Has more of an amber quality to it which distances itself from all that typical "piss water" American brewery light stuff.
