Sam broke this open to compare it to the Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock. Um, yeah; if you’re imagining Mike Tyson in his pre-jail days vs. Steve Urkel, you’ve got the right impression. Whereas the dessert qualities in the Rasp Eis were dope, here they were cloying and artificial. Sure, it tasted like white chocolate or almond bark, but it tasted like the cheapest version of those things you could buy. Maybe this would be good with food, where its cloying, over-the-top qualities would be tempered by the pairing. Smelled like almond bark and candy corn, with some alcohol, which is inexcusable at 4.2%. Pale ass yellow in the glass, fully diminishing head. Smells good, like white cake with vanilla frosting. Watery. Sweet. Thin. Slightly corny finish. Lame. RateandPillage (417), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Flavors of vanilla and white chocolate. I’m not crazy about this style, but it wasn’t that bad of a beer. joemacaluso (119), Prairieville, Louisiana, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2005 This beer should not be rated so low as the others. It was a fairly light, sweetish ale with a faint hint of white chocolate. Could have a little more punch, but it was very good. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

That’s all it is though. Knowing that going in, makes liking it a bit easier. There really isn’t a way to describe it except that it tastes like vanilla cake icing, so if you like that, try to find this stuff. It comes in 7 oz bottles (which is probably all you’d want anyway), unless you want to make wedding cake frosting with beer. Tasty though. kujo9 (1077), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA

Tastes like vanilla frosting! to me seems sickly sweet, even for a dessert beer. Not a big fan of this one. Next time I’ll buy the vanilla frosting and eat it to save myself a couple of bucks! Smells like cheap vanilla frosting. Just to be consistent, it also tastes like cheap vanilla frosting. To be fair, was considerably less sweet than expected, certainly sugary but definitely tastes of white chocolate. As a dessert beer, it doesn’t completely suck. Much to my surprise. egajdzis (3626), Spring Mount, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Nov 21, 2004 Poured a brownish color with light bubbles for a head. Aroma of vanilla frosting on birthday cake. Taste was very sweet and cloying. Interesting as a black and tan with Florisgaarden Chocolat. Sully (1367), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia

The bloke behind the counter warned me off this, saying it was disgusting. The first whiff of this beer confirmed my fears that white chocolate flavoured beer can never be a good thing. Yes, thankfully the bottle was small so there was less to pour down the sink. This should be mousse.
