Personally, not my cup of yeast, but once or twice a year, just got to have some. Aesir (127), California, USA

Tastes like 7-up with vanilla extract, a couple drops of Kahlua, and maybe a bucket or so of sugar, or maybe Sweet & Low. The best word to describe this ’brew’ is ’disgusting.’ If it deserves any points, it’s only for their attempt at uniqueness. Unfortunately, that attempt failed and they still decided to release this beer with Bullwinkle on the label. I assumed Bullwinkle’s presence was just for general elegance when I bought it, but now I think he’s just there to mock you after you’ve choked down his bottle of liquid candy. jsquire (2113), St. Marys, Ohio, USA
| 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 1/20 | Sep 30, 2002 I bought two 7oz bottles of this a few years ago. I drank one then and it was awful. This one has been in the back of my fridge ever since. What better excuse to drink it than to trash it on the internet. Yeah, I suppose it is an interesting idea, but the smell and taste are just so intense with artificial flavors that it really isn’t beer. It’s like eating spoonfulls of wedding cake icing. It is so rich that I can not finish it. It is not a good dessert beer because it is undrinkable. I never thought of mixing it with stout. I’ll go see if it helps or if it just ruins the stout.
-- PS: It just ruined the stout... austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 30, 2002 Damn! That was odd! Can’t really say I liked it (and I’m usually very tolerant of experimental, sweet products). Chock full of artificial flavors, like drinking a white russian or a milk shake mixed with beer. I give Dixie an "A" for creativity. stormking (23), Cuddy, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 24, 2002 This rating is based on a mix with guinness stout. Way too everything to drink on its own. Disappointing to see a beer that says artificial flavors on the label. One bottle of this to one can of draught Guinness and you have a tasty dessert for 4. Do try it with friends, you won’t be able to do 22 oz of this mix on your own, let alone 7 oz unmixed. Wakie (612), Centreville, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 20, 2002 You can’t evaluate this beer like others because you really don’t drink it alone. It is so rich and chocolatety that you need to mix it w/ something else. This w/ a Guinness tastes exactly like chocolate milk. Try it, you might thank me. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 14, 2002 I can’t give this beer too bad of a rating because everyone, but one, rated this as if this was trying to be some great beer. It’s not, but it’s truly unique in that it tastes so chocalaty. This is the perfect dessert beer, and needs to be tried at least once. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 4, 2002 Clear gold, frothy white head and decent lace. Nose is ’White Chocolate, sweet, quite appealing. Start is sugary sweet, the top light, the finish is sweet, lightly acidic, very light hop under tone as its buried beneath the taste of ’Sweet White Chocolate’, definately a desert beer, but not totally atrocious as I imagined.
