Tap. It’s pitch black with a creamy head. The aroma is full-bodied and nice with notes of roasted malt, chocolate and dark fruits. The flavour has notes of roasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate, coffee, sweetness and a roasted bitterness, that lasts throughout the long, long finish. It’s a truly nice stout, that I look forward to tasting again.

Aug 31, 2008 Ølfestival 208, Århus. Black. Beige head, lasting. Looks promicing, but there isn’t much aroma, light burnt, perhaps coffee. Flavor, lots of bitter-sweet notes. Long duration. More coffee.

Aug 31, 2008 Draft - Black body, huge creamy brown head; Beautiful deep roasted nose, a little to simple; Smooth carbonation on smooooth but still quite hop bitter body; lots of aroma in finish, roasted chocolate, a very little grain, It has a very special fruity aroma and feel I have never experienced before.

Aug 24, 2008 Bottle. Huge thick creamy brown head that really lasted. Excellent display of lacework. Pitch black color. A complex mixture of burned, sweet, smoked and bitter notes hits nose. Also liquorish, berries, vinous, burned malt, underlying floral and pin notes as well with a bit of coffee and bitter chocolate. Full bodied with an average carbonation and thick alcoholic and oily texture. Heavy sweet and bitter flavor in balance. Lingering English liquorish finish.
